You know how kids are…they LOVE a show and want to watch it 1 million times and then they’re done and move on.
We have been stuck on Wild Kratts (on PBS) since the beginning of June…almost 3 months.
Our DVR has like 3% memory left because we have so many episodes. They’ve watched all the shows on Netflix at least 10 times each. They even know if the episode they want to watch is on Netflix or YouTube.
The boys have been working on their own individual checklists each week (which is TOTALLY working BTW). So for completing all of their tasks each week they get to go and pick out a small toy.
This past week they decided they wanted a small Minecraft toy that, of course, was only at Toys R Us. We didn’t have much to do so I agreed to take them on this hunt.
We wandered around the Lego section for about 10 minutes and never found any Minecraft stuff. So I left the boys there and Maddi and I went to check out the Sofia stuff.
Suddenly I hear them start screaming, “Mommy, you were WRONG! There are Wild Kratts toys!!” They were so loud and so excited! They were jumping up and down.
And I knew I was sunk.
I KNOW these kids. And I know that they will play non-stop with this stuff for days (leaving me time to blog about it…lol).
So I caved. But I did tell them that these were their rewards for the next few weeks though.
I was right about one thing…they wore them ALL WEEKEND LONG (and it was a 3 day weekend). They had soooo much fun running through the house on creature adventures and jumping around with different creature powers.
Totally worth it in my book!
Do your kids love Wild Kratts?
